Richard Glen Trophy & Laying Up Supper- Sunday 2nd November

CHARLOTTE and dad Andy Prior won the Richard Glenn Challenge Bowl, the last regatta of the summer season at Welland Yacht Club.
Despite cold and miserable conditions, 13 boats turned out.

In race one, the Priors were able to pull out a good lead during the first lap but as the rain stopped, the wind also decreased considerably making it a very long race for most competitors. The Priors came in first with Neal Tack second, Robin Wilson third, and Martin Cook fourth ahead of Paul and Adam Wilson.

The Priors again managed to get a good start in race two and won it. Cook took second place with Wilson in third and Tack fourth.

The final race saw a much tighter fleet with the Priors capitalising on their N12's good, light wind performance to to secure a first place and overall victory.Robin Wilson did just enough to take second in both the race and overall with Neal Tack securing third and Martin Cook fourth place. The Wilsons took a well earned fifth with Sean and Andy Agar sixth.

The racing was followed by the traditional 'Laying Up supper' followed by the presentation of the trophies won during the season.
