A short introductory sailing session for a maximum of 3 people
Cancellation Policy
Booking Conditions 1. Booking • Taster sessions are free and have no monitory value • The Club reserves the right to cancel all or individual taster sessions at short notice. Where possible alternative dates will be provided. • Participants are required to ‘report’ for their session at least 10 minutes before their session commences so they can attend a safety briefing and be provided with lifejackets. 2. Safety and Risk: • Although safety is treated with the utmost importance there are inherent risks associated with sailing activities and participants are required to take instruction from the helm of the boat and the organisers to ensure their own safety. • Welland Yacht Club is an RYA training establishment and qualified instructors will be present. Welland Yacht club is insured for third-party risks. 3. Participation and Requirements: • The minimum age for participants is 5 years old, there is no maximum age although participants must be able to climb in and out of the boat unassisted. • Life jackets will be provided for all participants and if required safety helmets are also available. Participants to wear comfortable, wet-friendly clothes and footwear. • No more than four people should be in a boat at any time. • Session will last between 15 and 30 minutes. • No prior sailing experience is required. 4. Accessibility and Inclusivity: • Whilst the venue is fully accessible the taster sessions do require participants to be mobile and be able to climb in and out of a boat unassisted. 5. Conduct and Expectations: • Visitors are expected to respect the equipment provided and also Club members and fellow visitors. 6. Liability and Disclaimer: • The Club will not be responsible for any items left unattended. Security lockers are available free of charge • The Club is not responsible for personal insurance. • Participants are responsible for their own safety and well-being. 7.
