About us
The Welland Yacht Club has been sailing on the River Welland in Spalding, Lincolnshire, for over 65 years with an active membership which holds dinghy races every Sunday from April until December.
The club is a fully recognised RYA Training Centre. Guests are always welcome, whether regular sailors or those interested in taking up sailing for the first time.

The Club merged with Witham Sailing Club from Boston in 2024 and welcomed Witham members to the Welland

The Club is a RYA recognised training establishment and is currently putting together a list of courses that will be running in 2026. These will include Powerboat 2, Safety Boat, RYA Dinghy level 1 and RYA Dinghy level 2, plus other courses by demand. If you have any training needs please get in touch with the Club. More details can be found on the Training Page.
The new sailing season starts on the 29th March with the Robert Creek Trophy Regatta.

The full season's program can be found at the bottom of this page. Highlights include the 'Celebrate the River Day' on the 5th July and the Club's Open Day on the 17th May.
